The invisible week
No new headline feature this week. Just the unglamorous polish that decides whether an app feels calm or janky, and one thing I'd been putting off: making the app match the promise I put on the site.
The Pro line got built
The site says the everyday AI is free and on-device, and the "gets to know you" layer is Pro. This week that stopped being a promise and became real gating in the app: one consistent lock across the weekly reflection, deeper insights, the planning advice and calendar writing, with a teaser mode so free users can see what Pro adds instead of hitting a blank wall. The everyday AI stays free, for good.
The energy budget got honest
Your daily capacity is now your remaining planned time, not whatever you typed at check-in, and there's a small in-app explainer for the meter so it isn't a mystery number.
Things came out of hiding
Progress, Insights and Tags were buried in Settings. They're their own places now.
And a pile of quiet work
The weekly reflection's AI now writes in plain "you" language so it stops sounding like a robot narrating your life. The keyboard got a single floating hide button, the widget shows as many tasks as actually fit, and a batch of database indexes keeps everything fast even as the list grows.
Testing
The last of the nine evaluation issues is closed. Next up is the one I'm actually nervous about: three days of iCloud sync running live across iPhone, Mac and Watch at the same time.
What's next
v1.1's headline is decided: a brain dump that takes a wall of text or a voice ramble and turns it into ready-made tasks, all on your phone. More on that once the sync week survives.
